New Lettings Policy - Please re-register by the 26.11.10
At present, we are asking everyone on the Housing Register to re-apply under our new Allocations Policy. Monmouthshire Housing Association will be replacing the current points system with bands. In January 2011 we will also be introducing choice based lettings. This means that all vacant housing association homes will be widely advertised and if you are interested you must express an interest (called bidding). This means that the three main housing associations in Monmouthshire will be operating the same Allocations (Lettings) Policy and advertising forthcoming vacant homes for people to bid for. Looking for a Transfer

Looking for a Mutual Exchange with another tenant
If you are currently an Assured Tenant with Monmouthshire Housing Association you can register for a mutual exchange via a national scheme called “HomeSwapper”. Please click on the attached link to visit the HomeSwapper website for more information about swapping homes with another tenant. Alternatively ring our Lettings team on 0845-900-2956 for more information about how to do this. Please remember that before exchanging homes with another tenant you MUST contact Monmouthshire Housing because we will need to inspect your current home before you can be given permission to exchange. You cannot swap homes until all parties in the exchange have received written permission from Monmouthshire Housing or their respective landlord. If you are a Starter Tenant you do not have the right to exchange and will have to wait until you are granted an Assured Tenancy (usually after 12 months). www.homeswapper.co.uk
