Monmouthshire Housing Association was established in January 2008 to receive the housing stock of Monmouthshire County Council through a voluntary transfer.
Our main purpose is to provide and manage high quality, affordable homes in Monmouthshire for those that need them. In the first phase of our existence we were committed to improving our homes to meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard by 2012. That work has now been completed. We are now entering our next phase of development which is to reduce the amount of obsolete properties we have through sale and demolition, and rebuilt modern homes at affordable rents and prices in their place. We are also committed to building several hundred new homes on new sites over the next 5 years, throughout the county. Hand in hand with this commitment, we have set up our Social Enterprise called CAPSEL which will provide a whole range of property and community benefits both within and outside the county.
Our mission - To provide high quality homes and services that put people first.
The Association manages and maintains around 3,600 homes and 290 leasehold properties, as well as large numbers of garages and other land around and within our estates.
