Dads Can visits Raglan Farm Park

Dads Can marked the end of 2018 with their winter event held at Raglan Farm Park in Monmouthshire. Dads and their families took part in festive play, willow weaving, arts and crafts and a visit to see Santa.

Judy Hartley a Basket Maker from Usk held a workshop for families to take part in willow weaving, where they got to learn new skills whilst making some fantastic Christmas decorations.

Nadine Fletcher Dads Can Co-ordinator commented; “This was a lovely event to mark the end of the last five years.  The families truly enjoyed the day.  It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to link up, make new friends and offer peer support.”

Dads Can soon to be Dads Can Cymru in 2019 helps dads in Monmouthshire and Newport and more recently have been working in partnership with Flying Start in Blaenau Gwent which is proving successful.

The teams works in collaboration with over 100 organisations such as Social Services and Team Around the Family in supporting them to engage fathers.

By providing support services to 120 fathers this year, 79% of dads have engaged with other agencies and 94% of dads are feeling more confident and positive about their future.
