Additional financial support on offer

We realise lots of our tenants are going to be feeling anxious and overwhelmed with the increase in cost of living and want to be sure you are claiming all the benefits you are entitled too. We thought it might be useful to pull the latest financial support available from organisations such as the Welsh Government, Local Authority, Welsh Water etc. into one place, so here it is !

We will try and keep this page as up to date as possible, but it is also wise to keep an eye on the local press and social media, in case we miss something, or even let us know and we will add it to this page, so other tenants are aware of it too.

Support for unpaid carers

You might be eligible to claim £500 from the Welsh Government. Unpaid carers receiving Carer’s Allowance on March 31st this year must register with Monmouthshire County Council by July 15th 2022 to receive the payment.

Cost of living payments

If you’re entitled to certain benefits or tax credits you should be entitled to an extra payment to help with the cost of living.

The first of the two cost of living payments will be distributed through means tested benefits from 14th July.  Please don’t forget to prioritise your rent, this enables us to continue to provide our valued services and create more affordable homes for those in most need.
