Llantilio Crossenny

Built on the location of former church owned land, our Llantilio Crossenny development comprises of 3 x two-bedroom homes and 1 x three-bedroom home.

The development was part of a wider effort to address the ever-growing demand for affordable homes in the area.

After going through a competitive bidding process, MHA awarded its in-house building services team the contract to construct the properties.

The team managed the construction on site, appointment of all sub-contractors. Building Services staff were also responsible for installing the roof structure inclusive of on-roof photo-voltaic panels; the internal fit-out inclusive of the heating system complete with underfloor heating, the electrical installation, carpentry works and plumbing works.

The project, was funded by the Welsh Government, and is rented through MHA.

David James, the rural housing enabler for Monmouthshire, said: “The community council has always been adamant about the need for affordable housing in Llantilio Crossenny, following a housing needs survey which was completed in 2006, and this was reinforced at the resident consultation event held in January 2018”.
