Dads Can Cyrmu believe that every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas and The Toy Appeal steps in to help Father Christmas do just this.

For the third year running Dads Can Cymru have organised the Christmas Toy Appeal, providing a sack of toys to children aged 0-18 years old, who are facing times of hardship, when otherwise they might have had nothing. With this year being tough for a lot of people and with the ongoing COVID pandemic leaving many without or uncertain about their jobs the number of children facing a hard Christmas is higher than ever. This year Dads Can and the Toy Appeal have brought people together to ensure no child is left out, local businesses who have dug deep to support this worthy cause include Rubin Lewis O’Brien, Robert Price, DC Contractors and Brightside.

Nadine from Dads Can said “We have been overwhelmed with the donations this year.  The generosity and community effort has been outstanding.   All of the contributions this year will go a long way in relieving stress and anxiety and provide 100 children with the Christmas morning excitement that every child should experience.”

This small gesture from people and businesses within our communities will certainly brighten up some families Christmas, a few of them expressed their gratitude;

“Thank you very much for the beautiful presents.  I am so grateful for them.”

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the donation of Christmas gifts for my little girls.  You’ve made Christmas so much easier.  You are angels, you and everyone who donated.”

Coordinated by Nadine from the Dads Can team, and supported by communities throughout both Monmouthshire and Newport hundreds of Toy donations were made to ensure that a total of 100 Children are able to enjoy a Christmas they deserve, with each child experiencing the true magic of Christmas thanks to the generosity of their neighbours.
