We recently held an event at our Cwrt Severn scheme in Caldicot to celebrate International Men’s Day.

The event included flatbread making, cake eating and some general chit chat which was a key part of a day that encourages men to talk.

Conversation ranged from sports to reminiscing over old memories and was enjoyed by everyone who attended.

The day was also used as an excellent opportunity to hear some ideas and suggestions of how MHA and the residents could make the scheme a better place to live.

Clive Thomas, a resident at Cwrt Severn was over the moon with how the event went; “It’s brilliant to come in (to the event) and to be able to chat with people who want to talk about the same things you do.”

Harrison Andrews, Marketing and Communications Assistant at MHA, was present at the event adding; “The event was a huge success and there were a lot of happy faces around Cwrt Severn throughout the afternoon. Sometimes the residents in our sheltered schemes can be slightly more reluctant to get involved and give us some of their suggestions but this wasn’t the case at all today.”
