Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) have announced the appointment of Jonathan Tumelty as their new Head of Neighbourhoods.

Having started in June, Jonathan has taking over from Cheryl Tracey, who became Head of Business Evolution after leaving his former position as Community Safety Manager at Rhondda Cynon Taf based Housing Association Trivallis.

Having worked in various elements of the housing sector since 2008, he will be taking the lead on numerous projects including reviewing the company’s agile working function, as well as undertaking rent policy and Anti-Social Behaviour reviews.

Jonathan Tumelty, Head of Neighborhoods said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have started at MHA. There are lots of challenges ahead, starting with a review of our rent management service and delivery of the WHQS environmental works program. But I’ve been impressed by the achievements and high standards of service delivered by MHA year on year and look forward to working with the new teams and residents to build on this success.”

Michel Morgan, Director of Housing and Communities said: “I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to MHA as our new Head of Neighbourhoods.  This is a key role for the organisation, which will help us to shape our services so that they are fit for the future and meet the aspirations of our tenants.”

“Jonathan has a wealth of experience under his belt and I am looking forward to working with him to deliver MHA’s vision and objectives.”

John Keegan Monmouthshire Housing Association Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Tumelty as our new Head of neighbourhoods to MHA, he brings a wealth of experience with him and we look forward to working with him.”

“There was a huge amount of interest in the post and Jonathan had to beat off some very stiff opposition. Monmouthshire Housing has become a very desirable place to work reflected in the ever increasing number and quality of candidates we have for our opportunities.”

“Welcome to the team Jonathan”.
