MHA Celebrates Triple Shortlisting at CIH Welsh Housing Awards 2025 thumbnail

Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) is proud to announce that three of it’s projects have been shortlisted for the CIH Welsh Housing Awards 2025, which recognise excellence and innovation across Wales’ housing sector.

The ‘From Analogue to Digital’ project has been shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in Housing Innovation’ category. This initiative replaced outdated analogue alarm systems in MHA’s independent living schemes with modern digital technology, improving safety, connectivity and independence for residents.

The ‘Holman House’ regeneration project in Caldicot has been recognised in the ‘Working in Partnership’ category. This collaborative effort brought together public, private and community partners to both improve the energy efficiency of the six first-floor apartments and enhance the aesthetic appearance of the commercial units below; revitalising a key town centre asset.

MHA’s ‘Love Where You Live’ campaign is in the running for ‘Campaign of the Year’. This initiative was created to improve neighbourhood services, increase visibility in communities, and strengthen tenant engagement. Through walkabouts, clean-up events, and creative communications, the campaign has helped boost satisfaction, reduce complaints, and build stronger connections between tenants and MHA.

In addition to these achievements, MHA is sponsoring the Preventing Homelessness Award, reflecting its ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and promoting sustainable housing solutions across Wales.

Following back-to-back wins in the ‘Customer Service Excellence’ category in 2023 and 2024, this marks the third consecutive year that MHA has been recognised at the CIH Cymru Housing Awards, reflecting a sustained commitment to excellence across the organisation.

Gwyndaf Tobias, CEO of MHA, said:

Being shortlisted across three categories at the CIH Welsh Housing Awards is a fantastic recognition of the passion and dedication our teams and partners bring to every project.

From embracing digital innovation to revitalising community spaces and celebrating resident pride, these nominations reflect our commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact for the people and places we serve. We’re especially proud to have been recognised at these awards for the past two years, winning the ‘Customer Service Excellence’ award in both 2023 and 2024.

Congratulations to all shortlisted teams and partners. We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the housing sector and seeing the results at the awards ceremony.
