Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) is delighted to have once again achieved the highest possible regulatory judgement from the Welsh Government, receiving a ‘Green’ rating for both Governance and Service Delivery and Financial Viability.
The judgement follows a Regulatory Review carried out under the Welsh Government’s Regulatory Framework for Welsh Registered Social Landlords 2025. The review considers information including an organisation’s self-evaluation, financial performance and ongoing regulatory engagement to assess how well it is meeting the standards expected of housing associations in Wales.
A Green judgement means that MHA meets the Welsh Government’s requirements in both areas, demonstrating strong governance, effective service delivery, sound financial management and continued focus on customers and communities.
Kate Bentley, Head of Corporate Services at Monmouthshire Housing, said:
We are very proud of this result and what it means for our customers, colleagues and communities.
Achieving this rating is testament to the hard work of our teams and Board and we would especially like to say a big thank you to our customers for their valuable support and feedback.
Our customers can be assured that MHA remains well managed and focused on ensuring they have a real voice in shaping our services and giving us feedback.
The regulatory judgement provides tenants, service users and stakeholders with assurance that housing associations are performing effectively against the standards set by Welsh Ministers.
