MHA Community Voice member and tenant, Aiden Moffitt, has been recognised at the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Cymru Good Practice Awards 2026, achieving second place in the Tenant of the Year category.
The award celebrates tenants who go above and beyond to make a difference within their communities and help shape housing services for the benefit of others.
Aiden, who has been actively involved in tenant engagement for around five years, was recognised for their commitment to ensuring tenants’ voices are heard and represented at all levels of the organisation.
As a member of our Community Voice Committee, they have contributed to service reviews, governance activities and strategic discussions, helping to shape services including community safety, repairs, complaints, rent setting and tenant satisfaction.
The work extends beyond MHA, with involvement at a national level through the Stonewall Housing Accreditation Panel, helping to influence best practice across the housing sector and improve outcomes for LGBTQIA+ tenants and staff.
Throughout their involvement, they have championed inclusion and equality, supported fellow tenants to participate in engagement activities and worked closely with staff to ensure lived experiences are reflected in decision-making.

I’m honoured to receive this award. It is a testament to all I do as a tenant, not just for my own satisfaction but also to shape the future for other tenants, so everyone has a safe place to call home. My thanks must go to MHA, who have been incredibly supportive and without them this achievement wouldn’t have been possible.
