At MHA we recognise the value in investing in people in the early stages of their careers, which is why every year we review our business needs for apprentices, as well as succession planning for any possible retirements.

We currently have nine enthusiastic apprentices and trainees who have quickly become respected members of our housing management, housing services and trades teams that includes plasterers, electricians and plumbers.

Our supportive environment encourages the apprentices to get the best out of their learning.  A bespoke development programme is created for each candidate, enabling them to gain the technical expertise, practical experience and broader skills needed to progress their role and future career, with professionalism at its core.

MHA actively promote apprentice recruitment by attending Career Fairs at local schools and always have both a high volume of applicants and high calibre of candidates that attend interview.

Here’s what 2 of our housing apprentices Niah and Amelia told us, at the recent Apprenticeship Week…

It’s particularly rewarding for us that there are many young people wishing to start a career in the housing sector, and gaining an apprenticeship with MHA is a great way to kick off their career.
