MHA brings its cleaning service in-house
Earlier this year MHA made the decision to bring its cleaning service in-house.
The previously contracted out service, was established back in 2016. However, it was evident from tenant feedback given in MHA’s tenants survey in 2021, that many tenants weren’t satisfied with the standard of the general needs cleaning.
Joanna Pembridge, MHA’s Neighbourhoods Manager said
“Creating a dedicated in-house team has enabled MHA to deliver greater efficiency and importantly even greater value for money for our tenants.
As well as having greater visibility and presence in our communities, there have been further opportunities for us to enhance our service standards and to introduce deep cleans”.
Four months on and we have achieved 100% completion and have introduced deep cleans.
Lots of positive feedback from tenants testify that they are extremely happy with the new service and standard of workmanship.

The service is Headed up by Darren Davies, Community Cleaning Supervisor and supported by two community cleaners; Kade Marrett and Karen Davies.
