We are thrilled to have been recognised by Welsh Government for the high standard of health and wellbeing of our staff through our successful reaccreditation of the Gold Corporate Health Standard award.

Funded as part of the Welsh Government’s Healthy Working Wales programme, the Corporate Health Standard (CHS) is the national quality mark and award for health and wellbeing in the workplace  in Wales.

Feedback from Lead Assessor Emma George included

“There is an extremely strong sense of support for staff, and this is a very committed and respectful organisation with a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

MHA has a very proactive, well considered, intelligently planned, and inclusive approach to health and wellbeing.

MHA is to be commended for their holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing with the assessor hearing many examples of where a real difference to individuals and teams has been experienced.”

MHA’s Head of HR Karen Peploe said

“Having independent assessment against this acclaimed standard is testament to our committed teams who really care about each other and to the work they carry out for our communities.”

MHA focuses on maintaining and promoting a high quality of health and wellbeing in the workplace. This year MHA supported Time to Talk campaign, Self Care and Mental Health campaigns, provided annual staff health checks, a Fitbit staff loan scheme, online nutritional, and hydration workshops, as well as the introduction of a Menopause Policy.

In the coming year, we will continue to assist our colleagues during the Cost of Living Crisis through Financial Wellbeing guidance, and supporting our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy in the provision of activities that are inclusive and raise awareness of specific health issues.

A reassessment will take place in 12 months to ensure the high standards have been maintained.
